January Camp Open House WeekendPresbyterian Camps and the Camp Oversight & Development Work Group are pleased to invite you to a completely complimentary Open House on January 9 and 10. By then Saugatuck will be a winter wonderland that few of us get to experience. Beginning with lunch on Saturday and concluding with breakfast and worship on Sunday morning, we will proudly show off all that Saugatuck has to offer. You’ll eat the best camp food you’ve ever tasted. You’ll see this remarkable property first hand. And you’ll hear about the incredible things we do year round at Presbyterian Camps. Again, this open house is completely free—all you will need to provide is transportation to and from Sauguatuck. Space is limited, and since we are hoping to host people that have never experienced Presbyterian Camps before, there will be a waiting list for camp veterans and priority given to folks that have never been with us before. But everyone is encouraged to sign up. Please forward this to all your church members and encourage them to take advantage of this great opportunity. To sign up, contact the Camp at registrar@prescamps.org or call at (269) 857-3751. Announcing Presbyterian Camps 2nd Benefit Auction!Presbyterian Camps will hold its 2nd Auction to benefit the Camp in early 2010. While the final dates have not been set, we are looking for a venue that will host the event sometime in late February or early March and will be accessible to all corners of the Presbytery of Chicago. So, get ready to join us! Our last Auction was a great success and proceeds went to complete the construction of Rose II and for Camp Scholarships. The proceeds for this event will support the operational costs of the Camp and Camp Scholarships for Summer of 2010. The Auction will consist of both silent and a live auction items. If you are interested in helping, please call the Camp and leave your name and contact information. Our co-chairs, Katie Whitmore and Dottie Earle, will be in touch with you. We are looking for a broad range of auction items (cruises, sporting event tickets, quilts, hotel weekends, spa or dinner gift certificates, etc). Anything you can think of in the area of music, food, and fun that people would love to bid on will be accepted.

Fall Work Weekend 2010 Dates: Friday, October 1 - Sunday, October 3, 2010
Meals: Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and breakfast on Sunday Description: It's that time of year again for all you handy types to drop what you're doing, grab your friends and come on up to Saugatuck for a great weekend of work, fun and fellowship. We've got a number of projects for the skilled as well as the not-so-skilled volunteer: from plumbing to painting, from insulation to installation. Work continues all over camp with projects in Camp Gray, West Woods, and Emerson Hill. The colors up here this time of year should be sensational. And when the work day is done, you might want to head out on a fall foliage tour, or to a local farmer's market. It's apple-pickin' time in Michigan and the Cider is the best in the country (we're a bit biased). Make sure to reserve early with Susan because we have only up to 35 Volunteer spots available. You may mail, fax or email registrar@prescamps.org with your registration form. We look forward to seeing you here to renew your spirit and continue the work of building our great Presbyterian Camp community!. |
